What should have been a routine run descends into a disaster of supernatural proportions when hordes of tortured souls are accidentally unleashed.
Ghosthunter introduces players to Lazarus Jones, a rookie Detroit police detective whose first day on the job takes a catastrophic turn. While investigating an abandoned high school with his partner, Anna Steele, Lazarus accidentally releases a multitude of imprisoned ghosts from a supernatural containment array. This mishap grants him “supernormal sight,” allowing him to see the spectral entities, but also leads to Anna’s immediate abduction by a powerful ancient knight, Sir William Hawksmoor. Guided by a sassy AI program, Lazarus embarks on a mission to recapture the escaped spirits and rescue his partner, journeying through various haunted locales from a swampy ghost town to a desolate prison island.
Burdened with paranormal abilities to perceive and channel these malevolent spirits, it’s now your job to hunt and capture the undead before they achieve their ultimate vengeance on the world of the living.
