The premise is straightforward, if a little outlandish: after the Galactic Empire cracks down on Jabba the Hutt’s beloved podraces, the corpulent crime lord concocts an even deadlier spectacle – a no-holds-barred vehicular combat tournament.
This underground “sport” draws a motley crew of participants, from familiar faces like Boba Fett (opting to fight on his jetpack, surprisingly agile despite the arena’s vehicular focus) and Aurra Sing on her swoop bike, to original characters piloting an array of unconventional Star Wars vehicles like AT-STs, AATs, and even a rancor.
