Rayne was recruited as a member of The Brimstone Society, a clandestine fraternity that searches for and eliminates supernatural dangers to humanity, just as World War II was beginning. Rayne undertakes two missions, five years apart, which turn out to be connected by a single nefarious man who has been searching the world for potent occult relics in order to usher in a new age of dominance for the Third Reich. Rayne’s missions are connected by the fact that they are both connected by the same man.
In this fast-paced and gory third-person shooter, the dhampir Rayne fights horrific creatures and hordes of soldiers using a wide variety of vampiric abilities and powerful weapons. The game is notable for introducing the world to the iconic red-headed femme fatale. You must perform acrobatic slashing and shooting in order to make your way through the Louisiana swamps, the cavernous depths of a mining operation in Argentina, and a ruined German castle. This revamped iteration of the horror-action classic allows players to relive Rayne’s early exploits for the Brimstone Society as they follow her through her first missions for the organisation.
