In the year 2048, New York is in a state of disarray as a result of the arrest of a prominent community leader. As the dangerous drug known as “Shard” makes its way through the criminal underworld, there is widespread paranoia and unsubstantiated allegations throughout the city. Three stalwart citizens rise to the challenge when the fate of their city is in question, and they uncover a conspiracy that threatens to change the city’s course of events in the process.
Disjunction is an intensely atmospheric stealth-action role-playing game (RPG) that follows a trinity of interwoven narratives and features a reactive story where your actions have real and persistent consequences. The game was inspired by classics of the genre known as tech noir. You can choose your playstyle and utilise an arsenal of futuristic tech, cybernetic upgrades, and weapons to blast through levels in brutally fast combat, or you can take a silent approach by using stealth and non-lethal takedowns to leave without a trace. Both playstyles are available to you. Nobody has to perish… unless you decide that they have to be the one.
