The island we call Paradise is said to undergo a rebirth every few millennia. The psychic power that the alien worshippers within release into the universe is intended to feed and eventually resurrect their deities that have fallen from power. Demons, however, are drawn to this force, which leads to their eventual corruption of each island — at least, until the Council creates a new alternate reality.
The system is not flawless, but one day it will be — on Perfect 25, the island that will come after Perfect 25. But right before they are about to be reborn, the Council and Paradise are both brutally put to death.
