Overview
Play as one of ten characters caught in a living nightmare. You have three days to learn how their paths intersect as they try to stay alive. Survival depends on your ability to “sightjack” or the power to see through the eyes of friends and foes. There is no one hero. There is little hope.
What immediately sets Siren apart is its oppressive atmosphere and genuinely unsettling premise. The game plunges players into the isolated, rural Japanese village of Hanuda, where a mysterious siren call transforms the inhabitants into grotesque, unfeeling “Shibito.”
These aren’t your typical shambling zombies; the Shibito retain some semblance of their former lives, performing mundane tasks in a chillingly distorted manner, their vacant stares and guttural moans forming a relentless symphony of dread. The horror isn’t just about jump scares; it’s a creeping, pervasive sense of wrongness that permeates every shadowed corner of Hanuda.
