An experience in third-person survival horror with a stationary camera. Be afraid of the Presence, a mysterious being that you are powerless against; remain vigilant, hide, and breathe slowly… Discover haunted locations that are said to be home to unseen beings and people who have lost their souls in an authentic horror story that will last for generations.
Sebastian P. Husher, a well-known author, as well as his wife and children have all vanished without a trace. His editor became concerned and dispatched an assistant to his home in order to look for him; however, the assistant was never successful in finding him… These disappearances set in motion a chain of events that will soon reveal something horrifying: a faceless, evil entity that goes by the name The Presence seems to be responsible for these disappearances.
A truly dynamic and terrifying experience can be had in Song of Horror. Offering a one-of-a-kind experience to each player and gameplay in which tension builds up naturally rather than as a result of scripted sequences, The Presence is an otherworldly being that reacts to how you play the game and hunts you down in unexpected ways. You will experience an intolerable level of fear as a result of this interaction.
As a player, you will experience this story by living it through the perspectives of a diverse cast of characters, each of whom is connected to the narrative in their own unique way. Because every character is distinct and brings their own individual perspective to the investigation, it is possible for them to approach the clues and items in a variety of different ways. Their deeds and choices will determine the future of the world: some of them will know more or less about particular aspects of the story; some of them will be more effective against supernatural manifestations; however, all of them are at risk of dying if the Presence gets a hold of them, and death is irreversible. If they were to pass away, you would have to replace them in the narrative and carry on with the investigation in order to ensure that their passing was not in vain.
An unexplained antiquarian bookshop, a long-lost monastery, a defunct mental institution… Each location in Song of Horror draws ideas from some of the most iconic works in the horror genre. While enduring the agonising tension of the game’s setting, you will need to explore and investigate these haunted places in order to gather clues and items that will assist you in resolving challenging puzzles.
