Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow is the sixth and final installment in the Syphon Filter franchise, a third-person shooter stealth video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) and PlayStation 2 in October 2007.
The game serves as a sequel to 2006’s Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and follows special agents Gabe Logan and Lian Xing as they are called back into action to deal with a new global threat. The story picks up a year after the events of Dark Mirror, with Logan living a quiet life in Alaska. However, he is drawn back into the world of espionage when a rogue group emerges with a deadly new bioweapon.
Logan’s Shadow retains the series’ blend of action-shooting, stealth mechanics, and espionage themes. Players take control of Logan as he infiltrates enemy bases, rescues hostages, and eliminates hostiles in a variety of exotic locations around the world. The game also features a new melee combat system that allows Logan to take down enemies in close-quarters combat.
