In Shakedown: Hawaii, the player accompanies three main characters as they explore a 16-bit open world. Construct your very own ‘legitimate’ business empire by completing objectives, purchasing existing companies, sabotaging rivals’ operations,’re-zoning’ land, and extorting money from local businesses in exchange for protection.
Walk, drive, or cruise around the island to get a full experience. It is jam-packed with arcade challenges, sidequests, stores to shop at, civilians to interact with, houses to rob, and secrets to uncover.
You start out the adventure as an elderly CEO who is having trouble understanding how the modern world works. Shopping online put an end to his retail stores, ridesharing put an end to his taxi business, and streaming video killed his video stores. The only way for him to save the company is to educate himself on the “methods” of contemporary business and apply those methods to the reconstruction of his empire.
